Meet Samir
I’m Samir. I began working in hair and fashion in Lyon in 1991, continued in Paris and moved to Sydney in 2002. Today I work from The Barberia on Crown Street in Surry Hills.
I work with a wide range of hair textures, densities and styles, including straight, curly, coily and Afro-textured hair.

Textures and Styles
I work with a wide range of textures and styles, including women’s cuts and styling, fades, dreadlocks and crochet locs, Afro shaping and blow waves. I’ve also practised Hair Sculpture since the 1990s: freehand designs shaved into the hair, including tribal patterns, Arabic calligraphy and geometric shapes.

Walk-ins are welcome Wednesday to Friday when the chair is free, but booking online guarantees your spot. It takes about a minute.
